William Taylor
Inducted 1962
Track
William “Bill” Taylor (62′) set a school record in 1962 (breaking his own) in the shot put by throwing a 54′ 8″ and broke a North County record with a 51′ 11″. With his teammate Keith Moul, Fairview captured first and second in the shot put and discus in practically every meet in 1962.
Bill was able to take the first place state title with a throw of 53′ 1″ in May of 1962. This is still believed to be the Jennings Senior High record for the shot put.
