College, major: Greenville College, biology/pre-physical therapy. “I believe that my hands are blessed and I know the body. I believe I can help others such as athletes stay in good shape and healthy.”

Goal: “I plan on getting my doctorate in physical therapy, and having my own practice. One day (I hope to) create a foundation that helps fellow African American athletes gain exposure in elite sports.”

Favorite subject: English. “I believe having great reading and writing skills opens up all the doors to opportunities in life.”

Role model: “My dad. He has shown me many things in my life. He has a been a great deal of inspiration for me.”

Personal story: “Overcoming the peer pressure of my community and excelling in the classroom and on the field at two different sports — this is a true blessing.”
