Latoya Williams (JSH Class of 1995) was one of our most decorated track athletes in the school’s history. Latoya was a 4 year state track meet qualifier, a 4 time state champion (2 time state champion in the long jump 1993 & 1995) and tied 3A girls long jump record at the state meet in 1993 by jumping 18’11 3/4″. Latoya currently holds the Jennings High girls long jump record at that distance. Other championships Latoya earned were in the 4 x 100 relay in 1994, 4 x 200 relay in 1994 with a personal record time in those races. The 1994 Lady Warrior track team earned 4th place overall class 3A in Missouri. Latoya was honored at the first annual St. Louis American Sports awards banquet for Track and Field in 1995 where she also ran her personal best time in the 100m dash at 12.2 seconds. Out of the four events that Latoya qualified for state competition in, she became a state champion in 3 of them. Years later, Latoya came back to Jennings to lead our girls track program in 2012-2015 before moving to California. Latoya has also worked as an athletic model which you can see from some the great pics we have.
