Chris Current (07′) was one of the most prolific defensive football players in the history of Jennings. Chris compiled over 120 total tackles (18 sacks) during the Warriors historical 9-2 football season in 2006. The Warriors, led by Chris, won the Suburban East Conference out right (5-0), which including beating Ladue high school varsity football for the first time in school history. Chris was named the Suburban East Conference Player of the Year along with being named to the first team ALL-METRO and ALL STATE Football Teams for Defensive Tackle.
Chris went on to Missouri State University where he majored in engineering and played football. Unsurprisingly, Chris earned scout defensive player of the year his first year at the University.
