Hall of Fame

Harry “NICK” Benson had an exceptional basketball career at Jennings.  Nick went on to play at Moberly Junior College before playing two outstanding years at the University of Chattanooga in Tennessee.  Prior to college, Nick Benson developed one heck of an award resume at Jennings.  From All-Conference to All District in 1996 and 97, Benson lit up 1999 with awards such as “Suburban East Conference Player of the Year”, 2nd Team All Metro, and Missouri Class 3A ALL STATE.  At the time, Nick Benson was the 2nd leading scorer for a career total 1,535 points.  Nick was also selected to play in the Missouri Basketball Coaches association “Hall of Fame” game in Springfield Missouri on July 9th 1999.  You cannot walk around the hallways at Jennings Senior High and not hear people still talk about the Jennings legend Nick Benson.
