Hall of Fame

After nearly 5 months of the school year under way, Jennings student-athletes finally were able to have a season of an organized sport. By this time, it was January 2021 and basketball was underway throughout the St. Louis region. As the restructuring of schedules ensued, the Lady Warriors were able to compete with 9 determined ladies who continued to show up for practices in what may have been all for not. The same went for the boys’ program, who with incredible determination and grit, jumped into one of the densest schedules in the region by playing a shortened season against teams such as Marquette, Pattonville, University City, Eureka, McCluer North, Hazelwood Central and eventual 3rd place State winner Chaminade and two games against the Class 5 champion Cardinal Ritter to boot. Ritter ended the boys season in the sectional round of the state playoffs, but not till after a well-deserved District Championship. Like so many of us witnessed this year, it was incredible to see our coaches and students continue to work towards a season that may not have been possible at all……or could have been cut short at any time. By the time the seasons were over, everyone realized how thankful they were to play and coach the game they love.
