1993 Graduate Aaron Cook became a well known name on campus for being an exceptional student-athlete during his years at Jennings. In 1992 Aaron made 2nd team All-Suburban East with the Defensive player 110% award. In 1993, Aaron was named captain of the basketball team, 2nd Team ALL-State, 1st Team All-Conference, best defensive player 110% award and was selected to play in the Metro St. Louis All-Star Game. By the time Aaron Cook graduated from Jennings Senior High, he held the single season record form assists (217) and the single season record for assist per game average (7.0). In the spring of 2021, JSH was informed that Aaron’s father, Jimmie Cook, coached the McKinley High Goldbugs of the Public High League to the Missouri Class 2A boys state basketball title in 1992. He guided the one-two punch of Monroe Douglass and Roland Gray, who were instrumental in reviving the St. Louis University basketball program in the modern era. Anthony Bonner soon followed them by the way of Vashon High. But by and large, former SLU coach Rich Grawer turned the program when he got the McKinley duo. So the Cook family has made its legacy felt in three generations. What an absolute gift it was to have Aaron Cook as a student in the Jennings School District for those years.

The 1992-93 Warrior Basketball team (27-4) earned 2nd place in Class 3 in the State Of Missouri Championships.
