Linda (Hanrahan) Steinmeyer (1990) grew up in Jennings and worked for Jennings Senior High School from 1996 to 2001. Linda says she has so many memories as both a student and a teacher. Highlighted are the trips to Florida with the marching band to being a three sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball. Linda finds her strongest memory to be when she came back to Jennings as a teacher and a coach where she taught business and coached volleyball, basketball and softball.
Linda received many honors while at Jennings, for sports and academics including nominations by her peers. One very interesting achievement of Linda Steinmeyer is her earning of a varsity letter in each of the three sports she played every single year of her four years at Jennings Senior High, which would be 16 varsity letters (or one big J, with 3 gold pins representing the sports with 15 chevrons). However you look at, this is an amazing accomplishment for any high school student athlete. Linda Hanrahan Steinmeyer is truly one of the most decorated student-athletes to ever walk the halls at 8850 Cozens Avenue.
